Who is KC?

It just recently hit me that I actually love writing. Not that I never had an inkling before. I once auditioned for both writing and theatre programs in the hopes of getting accepted into an arts school. I was accepted for both majors but I chose theatre instead of creative writing and I don't remember why. Almost 20 years later, I feel like an old woman and I realize, I want to write. 

I do not consider myself excellent at writing, but I do try my best to say something worthwhile. This blog was birthed out of the desire and intention to share with you dear reader, whatever beautiful and important things I have bumped into along this short journey called life, in the hopes of not wasting whatever chance I have been given. There's a lot of things I have experienced, encountered and enjoyed in life that I do not deserve, the least I can do is to give back.

My name is KC. I currently live in Surabaya, Indonesia. I am a wife, a friend, a Filipino by birth and a half-Indonesian at heart. I consider it my most important work to follow Jesus and to support my husband in his calling as a social ministry pastor. I love the opportunity that God has given us to raise up leaders among teens from poor families around the graveyard, in our ministry called Youth Development Program (YDP).

I'm a big fan of God. But I'm also one of his most ardent critics. I often argue, debate and question Him but I always lose magnificently. We love each other deeply but like everyone else I am still figuring Him out. He's not easy, but He's awesome and He's totally worth living and dying for.

I don't have much, but here's what I have seen, heard, felt, experienced... and I think they're worth telling, and I hope you get something out of it too.
